Our family
Rooted in Sidney. Built on hard work.
We’re the Pickering family. We’ve been married for 22 years, and we owned cattle our whole marriage. Today we raise Gelbvieh and Balancer cattle on our place outside Sidney, Arkansas.
We love the Lord Jesus Christ, and our faith is at the center of our home. We have 12 children, we homeschool, and the farm is something our whole family works on and grows up with.

Our genetics
Building our herd on strong genetics.
Good cattle start with good genetics. Every female we add is chosen to make the next generation better: calves that come easy, wean off heavy, and keep gaining, out of mothers with the milk and the sound udders to raise them year after year.
We don’t leave that to chance. We study the EPDs on every animal we consider and buy from proven registered seedstock programs, including Judd Ranch.
